Collaboration with NGOs on environmental education
Evidence for the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2027 · Indicator 13.3.5 · Reference period: calendar year 2025
Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi collaborates with non-governmental organisations on environmental education. The “Uchqun” volunteer group of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan at TUIT (the Youth Union is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation) runs the “Eco Patrol” project, in which student volunteers clean up the campus and neighbouring mahallas and carry out environmental awareness activities for students and residents, promoting environmental culture and the national “Yashil makon” (Green Space) programme.
