Accessible facilities for people with disabilities
Evidence for the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2027 · Indicator 10.6.7 · Reference period: calendar year 2025
Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi provides accessible facilities for people with disabilities. The main building has ramps, a lift and tactile paving for blind and visually impaired people, and specially equipped computer classrooms serve students with hearing and visual impairments. The facilities were in use throughout 2025.

- TUIT main campus in Tashkent. Figures cover the main campus; activities of the regional branches (Fergana, Nukus, Samarkand, Nurafshon, and Urgench, which joined Urgench State University in 2025) are mentioned where TUIT took part. Activities described took place at the main campus unless a branch is named.

One building is fully equipped with ramps and a lift (Department of Administration and Housekeeping, 2025). Making the other buildings and the dormitories step-free is part of the building upgrade plan.
Learning spaces
Students with hearing and visual impairments study in specially equipped computer classrooms. The University’s own “Braille-Sound Keyboard” program lets blind and visually impaired students use a computer with speech support.
