Academic advising and tutoring
Each student from a low-income family is assigned a tutor (academic adviser) in the dean’s office. At the end of every semester the dean’s office reviews the results of these students. Those with academic debts are offered extra consultations with teachers and a personal plan to clear the debt before the next examination session.
Psychological support
The Department of Psychological Support and Personal Development offers free individual counselling and group sessions on stress, examination anxiety and adjustment to student life. Sessions are held on the main campus and in the dormitories, including art-therapy sessions for students living away from home.
Skills that lead to work
Students from low-income families can join the University’s free extra-curricular training, such as the cybersecurity club and the competitive “Heirs of Mirzo Ulugbek” data analytics course for second-year students, and the internships and job fairs organised by the Career Centre with employers such as Schneider Electric.
