Policies related to equality and non-discrimination ensure that students and staff are treated fairly and respectfully within the academic community. The University also supports participation in science, technology, engineering, and digital fields, encouraging equal opportunities for academic and professional development.

These efforts contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all members of the university community. At Tashkent University of Information Technologies, women represent a significant part of the academic community. According to the latest institutional data, women make up approximately 46.7% of the faculty staff and 32.1% of the student population, reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to gender equality and inclusive participation in education and research.

On the second day of the International Women Leaders Congress, a delegation of 20 distinguished female scholars and leaders from the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi is participating in the 26th International Women Leaders Congress held in Dubai, UAE, in 2024, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The congress brings together prominent women leaders and scholars from 32 countries to highlight the global achievements of women, promote cooperation among women leaders from different regions, and discuss modern leadership strategies. The event also aims to encourage the active participation of women in government, business, media, international organizations, and civil society, while supporting the development of future generations of women leaders.

At TUIT, the Department of Youth Work, Spirituality and Education plays an important role in supporting students and staff with disabilities. The department works to ensure equal access to education, promote social inclusion, and provide the necessary assistance and support services for individuals with special needs within the university community. At the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, appropriate conditions have been created to ensure accessibility for students with disabilities. The university provides accessible entrances and exits, specially equipped restrooms, and designated parking spaces for individuals with disabilities.

Accessibility features are available in all university buildings, including academic facilities and student residences, to ensure that students with disabilities can fully participate in educational and campus activities. The university is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes equal access to education for all students.

At the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, the necessary conditions have been created to support students with disabilities. Students with hearing and visual impairments study in specially equipped computer classrooms designed to meet their educational needs.

In addition, the “Braille-Sound Keyboard” program has been developed to help students study independently during the learning process. This program allows visually impaired and blind students to use computers with the assistance of speech-based technology, enabling them to access digital educational resources more easily. Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi has an active Student Union, which operates as the primary organization of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan within the university.

The Student Union represents the interests of students and actively supports their intellectual, cultural, social, and physical development. It organizes a wide range of activities, including academic competitions, intellectual games, sports events, cultural programs, and social initiatives aimed at strengthening student engagement and promoting a healthy university environment.




The organization also works to increase students’ participation in community life, encourage teamwork and leadership skills, and support initiatives that contribute to personal and professional development. The TUIT Eco-Activists Club is a student-led initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness, sustainable practices, and ecological responsibility within the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi. The club brings together students, faculty members, and staff who are committed to protecting the environment and contributing to sustainable development.

One of the main areas of activity of the club is participation in national environmental initiatives and tree planting campaigns. Members of the Eco-Activists Club actively take part in the nationwide environmental project “Yashil Makon” (Green Space), which aims to increase green areas and improve the ecological condition of the country. As part of this initiative, TUIT teams have planted hundreds of fruit and ornamental trees in various regions, including activities organized in Nukus and in the territories of TUIT branches.

The club also supports environmental activities at the university’s regional branches. For example, students and staff of the Samarkand branch of TUIT planted 500 ornamental trees as part of the national “Yashil Makon” program.

In addition to practical environmental activities, the Eco-Activists Club organizes educational and awareness programs to promote sustainability among students. These activities include roundtable discussions on environmental protection, seminars on sustainable development, and field-based educational events. One such initiative was a mobile lesson organized at the Tashkent Botanical Garden, where students learned about biodiversity, plant conservation, and the importance of protecting natural ecosystems.

Through these initiatives, the TUIT Eco-Activists Club encourages students to actively participate in environmental protection efforts and supports the University’s commitment to sustainability. The club also serves as a platform for students to develop leadership skills, environmental knowledge, and a sense of responsibility toward the natural environment.
