Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi was visited by a delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Kookmin University of the Republic of Korea Jiyong Kim and the President of the University Dr. Ryul Jong.
🤝 Members of the delegation were met by the Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan R. Karimzhanov. During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the opportunities being created for the development of IT education in Uzbekistan, on government programs for comprehensive support for youth and obtaining quality education.
💬Issues of further development of cooperation between members of the delegation, expansion of cooperation in creating a system for training highly qualified IT specialists, and creation of joint educational programs between TUIT and Kookmin universities were also discussed.
During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between Kookmin University and TUIT to create a joint educational program "Business IT Joint Education Program" in the current academic year.
🗒 For reference: at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al- Khwarizmi, together with Kookmin University of the Republic of Korea, a joint educational program “Business IT” and a grant project “Organization of an innovative system of business-IT education in TUIT” are being implemented with a total value of 5 million dollars, aimed to improve the innovation ecosystem.
📌 The main goal of this project is to strengthen the capacity of higher education in Uzbekistan and contribute to the national economy by nurturing innovative talents in the ICT field capable of managing the digital economy, as well as creating a model of industrial-academic cooperation.
